WOODSON, RENEAU, AND GALLOWAY REACT TO INDIANA’S 72-59 LOSS TO OREGON IN BIG TEN TOURNAMENT YOU WON’T BELIEVE THEIR REACTIONS

 

 

Indiana’s Mike Woodson, Malik Reneau, and Trey Galloway spoke to the media following the Hoosiers’ 72-59 loss to Oregon in the 2025 Big Ten tournament at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The trio addressed the team’s struggles, the challenges posed by Oregon, and their overall performance.

“We just didn’t execute well enough on offense,” said Woodson. “We had some good looks, but we just couldn’t get the ball to go in. And on defense, we just couldn’t stop them. They had too many easy baskets.”

Reneau, who finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds, echoed Woodson’s sentiments. “We just couldn’t get into a rhythm on offense,” he said. “We had some good moments, but we just couldn’t sustain it. And on defense, we just couldn’t contain their big men.”

 

Galloway, who added 8 points and 3 rebounds, acknowledged the team’s struggles with Oregon’s zone defense. “We just couldn’t get the ball to move quickly enough,” he said. “We got stuck in a rut and couldn’t get out of it. And on defense, we just couldn’t match up with their size and athleticism.”

Woodson praised Oregon’s performance, saying, “They’re a well-coached team with a lot of talent. They played a great game and deserved to win.”

Reneau and Galloway both acknowledged the disappointment of the loss, but vowed to learn from the experience. “We’ll watch the film and see what we can improve on,” said Reneau. “We’ll come back stronger and more focused.”

 

Galloway added, “We’ll use this as motivation to get better. We’ll work harder and come back with a renewed sense of purpose.”

The loss drops Indiana to 12-5 on the season, while Oregon improves to 10-6. The Hoosiers will now await their fate in the NCAA Tournament.

“We’ll see what happens next,” said Woodson. “We’ll regroup and refocus, and see where we go from here.”
