WVU Players React to Neal Brown’s Firing Amid Bowl Game Preparations

The West Virginia University football team is grappling with the departure of Head Coach Neal Brown, whose firing was announced Sunday. Players took to social media platform X to express their gratitude toward Brown and reflect on the future as they prepare for their upcoming bowl game.

Senior offensive lineman Ja’Quay Hubbard shared a heartfelt post, saying Brown “changed his life,” underscoring the coach’s impact beyond the field. Junior linebacker Reid Carrico, a transfer from Ohio State, thanked Brown for giving him the opportunity to join WVU, while sophomore running back Jahiem White expressed his gratitude and emphasized his focus on the Mountaineers’ postseason.

Redshirt senior offensive lineman Nick Malone shared photos of himself and Brown embracing on Senior Day, expressing appreciation for the coach’s contributions to his career.
