WVU Women’s Basketball falls to No. 15 in latest AP Poll

WVU Women’s Basketball fell to No. 15 in the latest AP Poll, per a release Monday.

The Mountaineers most recently competed in the Gulf Coast Showcase, going 2-1 in the tournament with wins over High Point University 89-54 Friday and Boise State University 82-47 Saturday. WVU dropped the title game against the then-ranked No. 5 University of Texas 78-73 Sunday, suffering its first loss of the season.

WVU is the third-highest-ranked Big 12 team in the latest poll behind No. 9 Texas Christian University and No. 13 Kansas State University.

The Mountaineers take on East Tennessee State University at 10:30 p.m. Friday at the WVU Coliseum. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and can be heard on U92 The Moose.
