Declan Rice recalled Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Liverpool which saw the Gunners smash the league leaders and move within two points of top spot.Mikel Arteta’s side produced an impressive performance to beat Liverpool in north London as goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossar gave Arsenal an important win.

Arsenal dominated the first half with Saka taking the lead before Liverpool equalized through Gabriel before the break.He then gifted Arsenal an own goal through Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Martinelli before Trossard came off the bench to wrap up the win after Ibrahima Konate had been sent off.

The defeat leaves Arsenal on eight points and Rice admitted he was delighted to get a point in a must-win game for the club’s title hopes.He told Sky Sports: “We knew how important today’s game was. We knew that the small margins and gaps in football would either widen or narrow.” “Everyone’s aim was to win and get three points.“It was a lot of fun from start to finish and I think you could feel that today.
