Ian Wright makes fresh title prediction after Arsenal and Manchester City close gap to Liverpool

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has said it is “nonsense” to suggest Manchester City will not win the Premier League this season.City’s chances of winning a fourth straight title were further improved after Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 this weekend. This was a must-win game for the Gunners to stay in the title race and their impressive performance against the Reds now leaves them just two points clear of top spot. But the result was good news for City, who moved to just two points behind Liverpool after beating Brentford 3-1 on Monday night.

The most important thing is that citizens play against opponents, so if they win, they advance. And with Pep Guardiola’s side said to be on an impressive unbeaten run at this point in the season, many expect them to lose the title race.Wright has plenty of confidence, but he certainly hopes his beloved Gunners will win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004. But he admits he thinks with his heart, not his head. Asked who would finish in the top three, the former striker told Premier League Productions: “I would go to Arsenal, City or Liverpool because I want to.

But you can’t do that.”It’s really stupid. It depends on the experience of the city and how they fit in with everyone. “But it would be foolish to say that City have a good chance of winning the league.”“I think Liverpool are used to standing on their own two feet, they’ve been there and done that. Arsenal did it once.
