Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has shared his thoughts on a possible move for Kylian Mbappe. The France captain is entering the final months of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and is regularly linked with a move to the Ligue 1 champions. Real Madrid have often been mentioned as Mbappe’s next destination and Liverpool have shown an ongoing interest in the 25-year-old.Mbappe has told PSG he has decided to leave the club at the end of the season, according to a new report from The Athletic.
An official announcement is expected to be made once the terms of his departure are confirmed. According to reports, Mbappe has received an offer from Real Madrid that he could start pre-contract talks with a club outside of France. Manchester United, like many of Europe’s elite clubs, have been interested in Mbappe since his days at Monaco. But Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted he would be surprised if the club could sign Mbappe in the summer.
“We laughed about it,” Klopp told Sky Germany in August. “I would say he is a very good player, but the financial situation does not suit us at all. I don’t want to spoil the conversation now… but as far as I know, nothing is happening.
