Liverpool’s talent factory continues to produce rising stars, with Jaden Danns recently in the limelight. This is the progress of an 18-year-old. According to the club’s official website, he was nominated by Jurgen Klopp at a recent press conference.
A move to the senior academy is a no-brainer for the teenage striker, who has scored 16 goals in 16 games (all competitions) this season. Another star to watch out for Liverpool were lucky to have a striker after injuries to Cade Gordon and Ben Doak. Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel are leaving for other reasons, not to mention promising forwards.
Sure, Danns’ career seems to be headed in the right direction, but don’t be too quick to overestimate the teenager.
It’s a shame Jurgen Klopp can’t oversee his development. But hiring a new manager interested in developing young talent doesn’t have to be a disaster. For example, someone like Xabi Alonso would fit very well in this regard.
