It’s a philosophical quandry not many of us will ever have to answer, perhaps thankfully, but it’s one Andy Robertson had to confront today. The Scotland skipper is the subject of a 12 square foot mural designed by an artist to promote Topps’ upcoming offerings for Euro 2024. More than 500 cards and the individual faces of the 316 players who will compete at Euro 2024 have somehow been combined to create a colossal depiction of Robertson’s face, and he loves it.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Liverpool star, who was just shown the creation for the first time, said: “Pretty surreal looking at it! I think it’s the first time someone’s ever done that.. I said to the woman who made it that she must be bored of looking at my face!
“It’s amazing, made up of all the different players who will be at the Euros. Once you see it up close, you appreciate the detail that went into it. How she’s put it together is unbelievable. It’s pretty special looking at it and it’s special that she’s thought of me to make it.”
Is he taking it home though? “No, it probably doesn’t fit in with my Mrs’ interior design.” Poor excuse that.
