Liverpool continue to show comeback spirit.

The goalless draw at the Etihad ensured that Liverpool remained at the top of the standings with just nine games left to play, after their 2-1 win over Brighton earlier on Sunday.

Away from the league’s summit, the likes of Newcastle, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Tottenham all secured vital wins.

While Sheffield United and Fulham played out a pulsating – and ultimately crushing from a Blades perspective – 3-3 draw at Bramall Lane on Saturday. And then there was the late-late fixture which saw Brentford rescue a point against Manchester United.

That’s three more than anyone else. Sunday was the seventh time they have come from behind to win in the top flight in 2023-24 — their most ever in a single Premier League season.
