The field is set for the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship, scheduled for March 11-15 at T-Mobile Center. This year’s tournament marks the first with 16 teams and the 25th time Kansas City has hosted the event.
Houston, which matched a conference record by winning the regular-season title by four games, secured the No. 1 seed with a 19-1 record. The Cougars will be joined in the quarterfinals by No. 2 Texas Tech (15-5), No. 3 Arizona (14-6) and No. 4 BYU (14-6), all of whom earned double-byes.
No. 5 Iowa State (13-7), No. 6 Kansas (11-9), No. 7 Baylor (10-10) and No. 8 West Virginia (10-10) received single byes and will begin play in the second round on March 12. The champion will earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The first two sessions of the Big 12 tournament will be televised on the ESPN+, and the third session will feature broadcasts on ESPN and ESPN+ . In the quarterfinals, the first two games will air on ESPN, while the final two will return to the ESPN or ESPN.
