It has been a couple of weeks since the Cleveland Browns ended their season with a 3-14 record. The best thing the Browns had to take away from the season is their draft positioning and finally having a first-round pick again.
Cleveland has a major need at quarterback with multiple ways there to address it. The Browns are going to draft a QB, but it is just a matter of when that happens.
Round 1, Pick 2: Penn State DE Abdul Carter
The Tennessee Titans are going to have their pick of quarterbacks at No. 1 and there is a chance they take whomever the Browns have as their top quarterback. If that happens, I think the Browns should take the best overall player in the draft.
Carter is plug-and-play from Day 1 and gives you a player with star potential off of the edge. Pairing Carter with Garrett may give you the best pass-rushing duo from Day 1, as Carter is that good. Carter was a full-time defensive end in 2024 and had 12 sacks as a result. A freaky athlete that should test off the charts.
Round 2, Pick 33: Alabama QB Jalen Milroe
Milroe is a very gifted athlete who can hurt teams with his legs and arm. The Alabama quarterback regressed in 2024, as the Crimson Tide did as a whole. Milroe has potential but isn’t a surefire hit or a pick. It is possible that the need at the quarterback position pushes Milroe into the first round.

I fully expect that the Browns will bring back Chubb, but they need to draft a running back in the draft as well. Chubb was not his usual self in 2024 after returning from a tough knee injury. Now after suffering another serious injury, the Browns can’t count on him to be their lead back the entirety of the way
Jerome Ford is solid in both pass-catching and running the ball. Henderson would give the Browns a complete back who is a terrific pass blocker as well. Henderson has the ability to be the eventual lead back and his burst gives big play ability when he is on the field. Henderson has less than 600 carries in college despite playing four seasons.
