Liverpool fans will be delighted with Diogo Iotta’s goal after the club’s excellent away win at Burnley yesterday.
The forward was sidelined with injury last month but returned to Jurgen Klopp’s side in time to secure three points. Darwin Nunes opened the scoring with a delicate goal, something he should have done more often in a Liverpool shirt.
However, with Mohamed Salah about playing in the Africa Cup of Nations, it is good for Liverpool to see other strikers starting the attack. Both Jota and Nunes will have to work alongside Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz, with the Egyptian talisman absent.
However, it was a striker who was frequently linked with Liverpool yesterday and impressed with his performance. Diogo Jota, who returned to Liverpool after scoring a goal against Burnley, posted several photos on Instagram with the caption: “Feeling really good”.
While many of his Liverpool teammates showed their support, it was probably Pedro Neto’s reaction that caught the attention of the fans.
Liverpool-bound Pedro Neto impressed with Diogo Lotta against Burnley. Klopp’s side have been frequently linked with £70m-rated Neto of late, which further increases Liverpool’s options.
In response to Jota’s note, Neto replied “Nunca vi Diogo”. This roughly translates to “I’ve never seen Diogo”.

The Portuguese has a good relationship with his teammates, so it would be good if a transfer happened.
Jota’s performance against Burnley for Liverpool would have been a reminder that Liverpool don’t really need a new striker. It seems plans have already been made for Mohamed Salah’s eventual departure from the club.
Liverpool fans will be hoping that doesn’t happen anytime soon.Apart from Pedro Neto, Bayern’s Leroy Sane and Juventus’ Federico Chiesa are two names linked in the past.
However, with Salah still performing well at the club and looking content, this could lead to another problem.Liverpool can now turn their attention to defensive signings in January.
