Although his numbers this season were modest, averaging 5.1 points and 1.7 rebounds across 29 combined appearances, those statistics do not tell the full story. Playing limited minutes on a veteran-loaded roster often makes it difficult for young prospects to produce eye-catching numbers. Nevertheless, Samodurov consistently showed flashes of the skill set that has made him one of Greece’s most promising young players.
One of the most encouraging aspects of his game is his efficiency around the basket. Samodurov converted an impressive 76.9 percent of his two-point attempts during the season. His length, athleticism, and touch near the rim allow him to finish effectively against defenders, making him a valuable offensive weapon in the paint.

While that percentage may not be sustainable over a larger sample size, it demonstrated his potential to stretch the floor and become a legitimate perimeter threat.
North Carolina fans will also appreciate the chemistry he already shares with fellow newcomer Neoklis Avdalas. The two players have known each other for years and previously suited up together at Panathinaikos during the 2022-23 season.
