Leeds United have ended the summer transfer window with a serious statement of intent, completing seven signings and reportedly committing around £86 million to strengthen Daniel Farke’s squad.
The Whites saved some of their biggest moves for the final stages of the window, bringing in Melvin Bard from OGC Nice and Jean-Matteo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt on deadline day. The two late additions capped an impressive recruitment drive and gave Farke even more options as Leeds prepare for the challenges ahead.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bard and Bahoya join Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic, James Trafford, Nico Elvedi and Michael Zetterer as Leeds’ new arrivals. The competition for places is now significantly stronger, with several of the newcomers capable of pushing directly into the starting XI.
With much of last season’s core squad remaining intact, Farke has the luxury of combining familiarity with fresh quality. Here is how Leeds’ strongest XI could look following their busy transfer window.
JAMES TRAFFORD STARTS IN GOAL
James Trafford looks set to take the No. 1 position after arriving as a club-record signing.
The goalkeeper is expected to provide Leeds with greater security between the posts and has the potential to become a major figure at Elland Road. His arrival also creates genuine competition for places, with Michael Zetterer offering another experienced option.
RODON, BIJOL AND MUHAREMOVIC FORM A POWERFUL BACK THREE
When fully fit, Joe Rodon remains a major part of Farke’s plans.
Rodon’s recovery pace makes him particularly valuable in a system that can leave defenders exposed in transition. He is also comfortable stepping forward with the ball and can operate in a hybrid role when Leeds have possession.
Alongside him, Jaka Bijol provides a more physical presence at the heart of the defence. The centre-back thrives in direct battles with opposition forwards and gives Leeds an imposing defender capable of dealing with aerial and physical threats.
Tarik Muharemovic completes the defensive trio. The 23-year-old arrived from Sassuolo and has already made a positive impression. His age also means there is considerable room for development, making him both a useful immediate option and an intriguing long-term investment.

Jayden Bogle remains the natural choice at right wing-back.
His ability to push forward and provide width gives Leeds another attacking outlet, while his defensive discipline allows the team to maintain balance. James Justin provides strong competition and gives Farke a dependable alternative when rotation is required.
AMPADU REMAINS THE MIDFIELD ANCHOR
Captain Ethan Ampadu is expected to remain one of the most important players in the side.
The midfielder brings aggression, composure and leadership to the middle of the pitch. His ability to break up attacks and connect the defensive and attacking phases makes him a natural anchor for Farke’s system.
With Leeds now possessing greater depth around him, Ampadu should have more freedom to concentrate on controlling games and providing the platform for the more creative players to flourish.
NEW ATTACKING QUALITY CHANGES THE PICTURE
Harry Wilson gives Leeds another creative weapon and adds experience at the highest level. His ability to create chances and contribute in the final third could prove particularly valuable against teams that defend deep.
On the opposite side, Jean-Matteo Bahoya provides an exciting blend of pace, directness and youthful energy. His arrival gives Farke another player capable of stretching defensive lines and creating problems in one-on-one situations.
Melvin Bard also adds versatility and competition on the left, giving Farke another option depending on the opponent and tactical demands.
