Wolves ‘ Naz Reid Awarded…..

“Minnesota Timberwolves’ Naz Reid clinches the John Havlicek Trophy, emerging victorious over competitors Malik Monk and Bobby Portis. Stepping up in the absence of All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, Reid showcased versatility by excelling both as a reserve and in the starting lineup.

 

His contributions propelled the Timberwolves to their second-best season in franchise history, earning him the prestigious Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year award. Reid’s career-best performances, including averaging 13.5 points and 5.2 rebounds, underscored his impact off the bench, solidifying his place as a key player for the team.

Despite facing challenges due to Towns’ absence, Reid’s leadership and consistency helped maintain the team’s momentum, resulting in a stellar 56-26 record and securing the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. With 45 first-place votes, Reid edged out Monk in a tight race, becoming the third undrafted player to receive this honor.
