Red Sox Legend Roasts Red Sox, Takes Shot at Mavericks After Doncic Trade

A Boston Red Sox legend didn’t hold back his criticism of his former team while also taking a jab at the Dallas Mavericks in the wake of the blockbuster Luka Dončić trade.

The former MLB star, who has been outspoken about Boston’s front office decisions, took to social media to blast the Red Sox for what he called “another offseason of mediocrity”, while also mocking the Mavericks for their bold roster move.

“The Red Sox are out here treating free agency like a clearance sale, while the Mavericks just bet their future on one guy,” the former player wrote. “At least one of them is trying—just not sure it’s the right move.”
