_The Future is Now: Tosan Evbuundom Leads Next Wave of Nets Talent_
The Brooklyn Nets have long been known for their ability to identify and develop young talent. From Spencer Dinwiddie to Caris LeVert, the team has consistently unearthed hidden gems and turned them into NBA stars. Now, it appears they’ve done it again with Tosan Evbuomwan, the latest sensation to emerge from the Nets’ pipeline.
Evbuomwan, a 6’9″ forward from Princeton, has been turning heads with his impressive play in the G-League. Averaging 18.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, he’s proven himself to be a dominant force on the court. His unique blend of size, athleticism, and skill has drawn comparisons to some of the league’s top players.
“Tosan has been a revelation,” said Nets GM, Sean Marks. “He’s got a rare combination of size, strength, and agility that allows him to dominate games. We’re excited to see him continue to develop and grow as a player.”
Evbuomwan’s rise to prominence has been swift and decisive. After a standout collegiate career at Princeton, he went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. However, the Nets saw something in him that others didn’t, and they quickly snatched him up.
Now, as the Nets look to the future, Evbuomwan is poised to play a major role. With his impressive play in the G-League, he’s making a strong case for a call-up to the NBA. And when he gets there, he’s expected to make an immediate impact.
“Tosan is going to be a special player,” said Nets coach, Jacque Vaughn. “He’s got the size, the skill, and the work ethic to be a dominant force in this league. We’re excited to have him as part of our organization and to see him continue to grow and develop as a player.”
