The rivalry between Kevin Durant and Chris Paul just got a little more heated. After getting baited into a technical foul during a recent game, Durant fired back at Paul, labeling his antics a “gimmick.”

The incident occurred in the third quarter of the game, when Paul appeared to exaggerate contact with Durant, drawing a technical foul from the referee. Durant, who has a history of clashing with Paul, was visibly frustrated by the call.

After the game, Durant took to social media to express his frustration, posting a message that seemed to be directed at Paul. “Gimmicks don’t work on me,” Durant wrote.

When asked about the incident in a post-game interview, Durant elaborated on his comments. “I just think it’s a gimmick,” he said. “I think he’s trying to get under my skin, and it’s not going to work.”

Paul, who has a reputation for being one of the most competitive players in the league, was not available for comment after the game. However, his teammates came to his defense, saying that he was simply playing hard and trying to win.

The rivalry between Durant and Paul is nothing new. The two players have a long history of clashing on the court, dating back to their days in the Western Conference. However, this latest incident seems to have taken their rivalry to a new level.

As for Durant, he’s not backing down. “I’m not going to let anyone get under my skin,” he said. “I’m going to keep playing my game, and if they want to try to get in my head, that’s their problem, not mine.”
