Lakers Guard Set To Return To Lineup

Gabe Vincent is back! The Los Angeles Lakers guard has been upgraded to “Available” for tonight’s matchup against the Utah Jazz, marking his return after missing 11 straight games due to a left ankle sprain suffered in the third game of the season against the Sacramento Kings. Vincent, 29, started the team’s first three games in place of LeBron James, who might also make his return to the court Tuesday night. The former Miami Heat guard earned the starting nod after an impressive preseason, averaging 16.3 points on 47.4% shooting (55.6% from three) with 3 assists per game.

The Lakers have opened the 2025-26 season with a strong 10-4 record, currently sitting fourth in the Western Conference. Vincent’s return is a big boost for the team, and fans are eager to see him back on the court. His presence will add depth and versatility to the Lakers’ backcourt, and his shooting ability will be a welcome addition.

Vincent’s status was upgraded to “Available” after being listed as “TBD” earlier, along with LeBron James. Rui Hachimura and Marcus Smart are expected to play, while James’ return depends on how his body feels following shootaround. The Lakers have been dealing with multiple injuries, but Vincent’s return adds to their momentum.
