Evans has been participating in the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago this week, where he met with teams, went through athletic testing, and competed in front of scouts and executives from around the league. The standout Duke guard said the experience confirmed that he is ready to remain in the 2026 NBA Draft.
“I’m fully in,” Evans told ESPN, making it clear he has no plans to withdraw his name before the NCAA deadline.
The 6-foot-6 wing is coming off a breakout sophomore season for the Duke Blue Devils, emerging as one of the team’s primary scorers and perimeter threats. Evans impressed scouts with his shooting ability, athleticism, and shot-creation upside, helping raise his draft stock into late first-round consideration.
Reports also indicate Evans has not spoken with Duke coaches about a possible return for his junior season, another sign that his decision is final.
His departure marks another major offseason loss for Duke as the Blue Devils continue reshaping their roster ahead of next season.
