Jarell Quanza has been impressive for Liverpool this season.
The 20-year-old centre-back has established himself as a starter at Anfield this season and the youngster’s future looks incredibly bright.
Quansah may have had a breakout season on Merseyside, but it was last season at Bristol Rovers where he began to make a name for himself.
The official spent the second half of his last term in power in the West, and it is no exaggeration to say that his influence was great.
In an interview with Redmen TV, Rovers manager Danny Ventre spoke about Cuanza’s time at Memorial Stadium and said he could tell the defender was a future star from day one.
“That’s right. When I see little kids come through the door, I always wonder what they look like. But as soon as Jarrell walked in the door, there were people around him.
A wonderful boy who always says good morning and good afternoon and also asks questions. In football, from the moment he stepped on the field, you could see his quality, stature and ability to be a future star,” Ventre said.
We’ve seen Quansah have a lot of skills, but it’s always nice to hear a coach say that during a game.
As Ventre said, these young Premier League stars can be confused and have a bit of an ego when they leave the league on loan, but it means Quansah looks like a consummate professional and it bodes well for his future.
Liverpool’s youth academy has enjoyed a lot of success in recent years and Quansah looks set to be the next young Reds star to make a real impact at first-team level.
