Salah, signed by Jurgen Klopp for £34m in 2017, is one of Liverpool’s best players and the best African player to ever set foot on British soil.
Speaking on ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, Shearer praised Salah, whose recent record at Liverpool has not immortalized him in Premier League folklore. Few players can have as big an impact in England’s top flight as Salah, and the winger is now a modern Liverpool legend after scoring 200 goals for the Reds. Liverpool are asking Mohamed Salah if he wants to stay next summer
As Salah continues to break Liverpool’s records, it is important to remember that this could be the winger’s last record at Anfield. As we know, Saudi Arabia’s interest in Salah is not going away and the Egyptian winger is likely to move on next summer.
However, if Liverpool win the Premier League, it would be enough to convince Salah to stay for another year or two and the forward could go on to break more records for Liverpool. Few players in our lifetime have left as big an impression on Liverpool as Salah, and the winger is good enough to continue playing for the Merseyside giants beyond this season.
Alan Shearer praised Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool winger made history in Saturday’s win over Crystal Palace.
The striker scored his 200th goal for United in a 2-1 win over Jurgen Klopp’s side, joining the likes of Ian Rush and Roger Hunt in this exclusive club.
Shearer: “Amazing, amazing. Isn’t everything about him perfect? Goals, attitude, what kind of player he is.
Now 150 goals in the Premier League? “What a great record.
