The Daily Star recently claimed that Manchester City are interested in signing the 19-year-old defender, while Liverpool are also looking to sign him.Barco played 78 minutes for Boca Juniors in last weekend’s Copa Libertadores final against Fluminense and was still outstanding despite the loss.

He told D Sports Radio via Sportwitness: “I’ve had the opportunity to watch him and I’m not saying anything new when I say he’s a great player. “He’s got a lot of skill and it looks like opponents can take the ball away from him, but nobody can take it away from him.

He is still young so we have to take it step by step.”Sometimes you see he’s very focused, even though he throws too many balls down the field. “He can be a very important player for our country and represent us very well in Europe.
