The Reds return to action with a massive clash against title rivals Manchester City on Saturday. And Klopp needs his big names available if they are to defeat Pep Guardiola’s side, with star full-back Andy Robertson now providing a hopeful injury update as he remains sidelined.
Robertson’s update comes as Alexis Mac Allister was backed to overcome his early struggles at Anfield and former Reds star Danny Murphy urged Klopp to copy Chelsea’s plan for taking on City. Here, Robertson issues injury update “I’m getting there, slowly and surely. Surgery was a success which was the main thing, no complications from it or anything like that. It’s so far so good, three weeks since my surgery now so everything is progressing well,” he told Viaplay Sports.
“I have just got to take it bit by bit and week by week. Everything has went well up to this point and hopefully that continues. Hopefully, before we know it I’ll be back on the grass. I don’t want to put a game in mind and then I don’t make it or I come back before then.”
The international break for Liverpool has been dominated by Jurgen Klopp sweating on the fitness of his key players.
Andy Robertson has confirmed his recovery from a shoulder injury is “so far, so good”, though refused to give a firm date for his return. Robertson last featured for the Reds at the start of October before injuring his shoulder while playing for Scotland.
