Arsenal fan Laura Woods was caught by TNT Sports cameras looking icy as Liverpool bullied their way back to the top of the Premier League thanks to Alexis Mac Allister’s wondergoal.

Arsenal superfan Laura Woods was caught looking fuming as Alexis Mac Allister rocketed Liverpool back to the Premier League summit.

The Reds survived a scare at Anfield on Thursday evening as Sheffield United put on a spirited display. The Blades had pegged Liverpool back after Darwin Nunez’s opener, and it took a moment of brilliance from Mac Allister to nudge Liverpool back ahead.

 

TNT Sports cameras panned to Jurgen Klopp, but eagle-eyed fans spotted Woods, 36, who was presenting for the game, looking furious in the background. Woods could be seen with her hood up and looking icy as Liverpool reclaimed the top spot.

“See Laura Woods behind Klopp then,” one fan said with laughing emojis. While a second shared: “Laura Woods looking salty behind Klopp as Mac Allister’s goal flew in!”

“Laura Woods is seated behind Klopp like a real hater. She’s the best in the world,” a third joked. And another added: “Laura Woods looking like a bulldog chewing a wasp as Klopp celebrated there…”

Mac Allister blasted the ball into the net to relieve the nerves around Anfield, and Cody Gakpo put the result beyond any doubt when he lifted the ball over Ivo Grbic. A Conor Bradley own-goal had brought the Blades back into it.

 

Liverpool are now back at the top of the Premier League table – having briefly been knocked off their perch by Arsenal. Woods watched on as her beloved Gunners beat Luton Town 2-0 on Wednesday evening.

Mikel Arteta’s side, who also avoided defeat to Manchester City over the weekend, went one point clear of the Reds, who had a game in hand.

 

However, the win sees Jurgen Klopp’s side return to two points clear of Arsenal and three points clear of City in the three-way title race.

The Reds are back in action on Sunday when they renew their rivalry with Manchester United at Old Trafford. City will be hoping their bitter rivals do them a favour and take points from the match.
