The Liverpool youngster failed to convert a late chance as Scotland drew in Budapest. Ben Doak missed a penalty in Scotland Under-21’s 0-0 draw with Hungary in Budapest.

The result was good enough to keep Scot Gemmill’s side second in Group B as Belgium drew 1-1 at home to division leaders Spain.
Scotland made one change to the team that beat Belgium 2-0 on Friday, with Rangers’ Robbie Fraser replacing injured Celtic defender Matthew Anderson.The away team were about to head to the Hideggcuti Nandor Stadium after cheering the whole match and Hungary got off to a good start.
The home side almost took the lead in the 28th minute but a superb double save from Scotland goalkeeper Cierran Slicker allowed Milan Vitalis to curl a long-range shot wide of the far post.In the resulting corner, Slicker had to bravely block Mihaly Kata.
The Ipswich keeper made another save in the 43rd minute when Jalan Wancha was caught on the edge of the area by Christopher Horvath.
Scotland’s first chance of the evening came when Doak shot low from the left but his low shot from inside the box was saved by Hegy. The Scots had more of the ball after the break but chances were few and far between for both sides.
Meboude threatened with a powerful strike from 12 yards before Doak missed the biggest chance of the night in the 78th minute, his low shot saved by Hegy.
