BREAKING: Liverpool told they’ll get £100m for Mo Salah as perfect transfer replacement emerges

Liverpool will have a big decision to make on Mo Salah as the Reds legend reaches the final 12 months of his contract one year on from receiving transfer interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Liverpool could still earn £100million from the sale of Mohamed Salah, according to former Liverpool forward Emile Heskey.

The Egyptian winger netted 25 goals and provided 14 assists despite enduring a more difficult season than he is often used to. Salah has just one year remaining on his current contract as Liverpool begin a new era under Arne Slot following the departure of Jurgen Klopp.

The Anfield star has bagged 211 times for the club since he arrived in a deal worth £36.9m in 2017. The Reds rejected a bid of £150m less than 12 months from the Saudi Pro League for the 31-year-old.

Speculation over his future persists and, despite just a year remaining on Salah’s deal, Heskey believes his former team could record a profit. However, he believes it would not be an easy decision to make.

Speaking to OLBG , ex-Aston Villa star Heskey said: “Selling Mohamed Salah this summer is up for debate, I still think Liverpool could get £100 million for him.

“It’s a difficult one. The reality is when we talk about Mohamed Salah I see some fans wanting to sell him but even when his form is up and down, he still scores 20 goals a season.

“It’s difficult to get rid of someone who’s giving you those numbers year in, year out, unless you know what you’re bringing in. Liverpool have been spoiled in the past, we had Sadio Mane as well. And then Roberto Firmino who put it all together and still got 15 goals a season as well.”

Heskey believes in-demand star Michael Olise could provide somewhat of an answer should Liverpool decide to sell Salah. The Crystal Palace winger has drawn interest from Chelsea and Manchester United already this summer.

“To replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool I like the look of Michael Olise,” Heskey added. “He is creative and has that free flowing style of play. But having said that, he’s got so many suitors.

“There are also many clubs and some that can actually splurge a little bit more than others. So you have to look at PSG, with him being French as well.

“But he would be the one that I would choose for Liverpool because he would bring the goals as well. Jarrad Bowen as well is very direct. But again, I think Liverpool probably need two wingers and a forward.”
