Samuel Chukwueze, a star for the Super Eagles, sustained a left hamstring injury while serving with Nigeria, which caused him to miss a few games with AC Milan.
The Italian football team announced on Wednesday that the 24-year-old winger might be sidelined for a month.
The Serie A leaders announced on their official website, “Samuel Chukwueze is already back at Milanello: the Nigerian suffered a left hamstring injury while away on international duty.”
As far as Naija News is aware, AC Milan has not disclosed how long Chukwueze would be out, although reports from the Italian media say he will be out for at least one month.
Remember that Chukwueze left Villarreal to join Milan this summer? This season, the 24-year-old has made nine appearances in all competitions.
On Sunday, Milan takes on Juventus in a league game for third place.
With this latest injury, the player becomes the second Super Eagles star receiving treatment; the first was his colleague Victor Osimhen, who was hurt on Monday while playing for his nation.
Remember how the Napoli striker was obliged to have an MRI after taking a knock during the Super Eagles’ match against Saudi Arabia?
Osimhen was reportedly unconcerned about the injury he received during the Super Eagles’ game against Saudi Arabia, according to reports.
Previous to the MRI exam, the striker was believed to have spoken with his Napoli physician, and he seemed to be unaffected by the blow he had received.
