Club learn big lesson after Liverpool transfer – Player’s ‘weak performance’ and ‘vulnerability’ causing annoyance

German side Werder Bremen have learned ‘don’t risk anything’ after their decision to sign Naby Keita from Liverpool this summer.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say the midfielder is ‘now kaput’ and not expected to return for his new club until after the international break in November.

Keita joined the Bundesliga side on a free transfer this summer after being released by Liverpool following an injury hit, disappointing spell at Anfield.

He had been hoping to reignite his career back in Germany where he had previously shone for RB Leipzig before his move to Anfield.

He was supposed to be the star man for Werder this season, a ‘stabiliser and pace setter’ for the team but that has not been the case as injuries have again ruined things.
He’s started one game so far, the defeat to Hoffenheim, where he was ‘unfit’ and ‘showed a weak performance’ before leaving the game after 59 minutes with a torn muscle fibre.

That once again showed his ‘great vulnerability’ to injuries, and it was that which stopped bigger clubs to come for him in the summer.

Bremen are now experiencing it first hand and their frustration is now starting to boil over, with the belief a lesson has been learned and that they should approach a ‘don’t risk anything’ approach after this.
