David Ornstein discussed the January transfer window and gave Liverpool fans hope for new signings.
The Reds are not expected to be too busy in January. Of course, this did not amplify the rumor and connected with many players.
Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich is the biggest name linked with him. Manu Kone has been mentioned again this time and young French defender Leny Yoro is still mentioned.
Jurgen Klopp is upbeat about his side’s hopes for new signings, insisting everything should fall into place and questioning new signings.
David Ornstein shares Liverpool’s plans for January.
In a recent Q&A with The Athletic, Ornstein admitted Liverpool could get something from somewhere. “They don’t have big plans, John.
But don’t say you never will. We knew Liverpool were capable of amazing things. Given the position of the squad, the quality of Jurgen Klopp and the range of young players he can call upon, Liverpool look very competitive.
They will want to strengthen again next summer. This may be a more important step in contract negotiations than a new contract.
“Mohammed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are entering the final 12 months of their contracts,” Ornstein said.
Liverpool always came out of nowhereLiverpool’s actions can be unpredictable at times, as they have done many times before.
Luis Diaz was brought in out of the blue and Cody Gakpo arrived without much fanfare. If the Reds are looking to sign someone, they will be working behind the scenes and only a few people will know about the negotiations.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to see one or two new players. But as Ornstein said, they’re still well prepared, so if not, they’ll just have to wait until the summer.
