Everton goalkeeper Pickford is furious: The whole world knows Liverpool are the abstract favourites.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford said “the whole world” knew Liverpool had the support of the match officials during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat.

AshleyYoung was sent off, Everton lost when Ibrahima Konate avoided a second yellow card and VAR awarded Liverpool a penalty conceded by Mohamed Salah. “It’s a tough day, it’s always difficult coming to Anfield as an Everton player,” Pickford said after the whistle. “We gave everything, we worked hard and the decision didn’t come from us. We were not surprised.“I think the level of work we’ve done is second to none once you get it down to 10 people.

After about 30 minutes we dug in and they took their chances as usual. We fought well,  As a team we are not far behind. It’s always hard to get here, but we played well and we always played, even with 10 men. “If we get there by 10 o’clock and the kids are working shifts, they’re going to be tired.””Do you think Everton are on the wrong side of the referee?” Pickford told Premier League Productions.
