Every Liverpool player available vs Brighton after Darwin Núñez update and Jürgen Klopp boosts

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp will receive a major boost against Brighton at Anfield. Two players are set to return amid the uncertainty over Andy Robertson’s issue.

Liverpool is back in action this weekend, as it welcomes Brighton to Anfield. The Reds’ recent track record against The Seagulls since Roberto De Zerbi took charge has been patchy at best: two draws and two defeats in four games means Jürgen Klopp is winless against the Italian coach, but the German will be looking to change all that on Easter Sunday.

Liverpool certainly goes into the game full of confidence, having only suffered one defeat in the last 10 games in all competitions. Brighton, meanwhile, has only won three times in the Premier League in 2024 and De Zerbi is facing criticism for the first time since arriving in England 18 months ago.

Liverpool will be buoyed by the return of Darwin Núñez for the Brighton game after the Uruguay striker pulled out of international duty with a hamstring problem. Núñez has now recovered and is in the squad for Sunday’s game. “He did his rehab during the week, trained the first day partially since we are back partially and since then he is in full training,” said Klopp of Núñez in his pre-game press conference.

Another boost for the German is the return of Ibrahima Konaté, with the Frenchman also returning to the squad after missing the last four games due to injury.

Klopp still has plenty of headaches when it comes to injuries, with many of his players not due to return until perhaps the end of April. However, Curtis Jones is closing in on his own comeback and while the Brighton game may come too soon, he should be available for selection ahead of the game against Sheffield United on April 4.

Andy Robertson is a doubt, with the Scot having picked up an ankle injury while on international duty. Klopp has confirmed that it’s touch-and-go with the 29-year-old and he may be on the bench for the game. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota are both slated for returns in late April, as is goalkeeper Alisson, and so Caoimhín Kelleher will continue to play in goal.
