Exclusive: “Crazy fee” needed for Barcelona to sign Liverpool star as expert responds to transfer rumours

A crazy fee would be required for Barcelona to seal the transfer of Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, according to Fabrizio Romano, who has cast his doubts over the potential deal.

Despite some talk of Diaz’s agent holding talks with Barcelona, Romano has made it clear he doesn’t think there’s anything going on with this story.

The transfer news expert said: “Staying with Liverpool for a moment, I want to reassure fans that I’m not hearing anything about Luis Diaz and Barcelona, despite some stories about his agent meeting with Barca.”

He added: “Diaz’s full focus is on Liverpool and also I don’t think it’s possible for Barcelona to go and pay the kind of crazy fee that would be required for Diaz.”
