Fabinho now shares with former Anfield star Mohamed Salah who he rates as Liverpool’s best player of the season so far.
The Brazilian left Merseyside in the summer after Al Ittihad made a surprise £40m move for the 30-year-old midfielder, with Liverpool ready to allow Fabinho to leave for Saudi Arabia. United are yet to fully replace their defensive midfielder, but the likes of Alexis McAllister and Wataru Endo have contributed in Fabinho’s absence.
In an interview with TalkSport, the former Monaco star praised Salah as Liverpool’s best player, with the winger recently scoring his 200th goal for the club. “Mo Salah is happy at Liverpool at the moment,” said Fabinho when asked about his former team-mate Salah.
