The Los Angeles Lakers are on the road on Saturday night as they travel to take on the Orlando Magic in an interconference showdown. Los Angeles enters Saturday’s game with a 45-25 record after defeating the Miami Heat on the road on Thursday night to extend their winning streak to eight games.
In Thursday’s victory over the Heat, Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers as he recorded 60 points, seven rebounds and three assists while LeBron James added 19 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists of his own.
Now the Lakers will try to grab another victory on Saturday as they face off against the Magic in a tough road matchup.
On the other side, Orlando enters Saturday’s contest with a 38-31 record after losing on the road to the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night.
Desmond Bane led the way for the Magic in Thursday’s loss as he ended the game with 24 points and seven rebounds while Paolo Banchero recorded 20 points, three rebounds and seven assists. While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
Lakers Injury Report: Will Austin Reaves, Maxi Kleber Play?
For the Lakers, they have two players listed on their injury report for Saturday’s game in Orlando.
Los Angeles has listed Austin Reaves as questionable due to left hip soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game since Feb. 10. If Reaves is sidelined, Luke Kennard, Rui Hachimura and Jake LaRavia could all be in line for increased roles. The Lakers have ruled out Maxi Kleber due to a lumbar back strain as he will miss his seventh consecutive contest.
Magic Injury Report: Will Wendell Carter Jr. Play?
On the other side, the Magic have four players listed on their injury report, including center Wendell Carter Jr. Orlando has listed Carter Jr. as questionable due to a left rib contusion and he is in danger of missing his second straight game.
If Carter Jr. is sidelined once again on Saturday, Goga Bitadze and Mortiz Wagner could both be in line for increased roles.
The Magic have ruled out Franz Wagner due to left ankle injury management while Anthony Black is out with a left abdominal strain. Jonathan Isaac has also been ruled out as he remains sidelined while recovering from a left knee sprain.
