Fittipaldo:2025 season is jaylen Warren’s time to go out and shine

As the 2025 NFL season approaches, all eyes are on Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren, who is poised for a breakout year. Entering his fourth season, Warren has consistently demonstrated his value as a dynamic and versatile player in the Steelers’ offense.

In the 2023 season, Warren showcased his dual-threat capabilities by amassing over 1,000 yards from scrimmage, including 784 rushing yards on just 149 carries, averaging an impressive 5.3 yards per attempt, along with 61 receptions for 370 yards. His performance not only provided a significant boost to the Steelers’ offense but also highlighted his potential as a primary offensive weapon.

The arrival of offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, known for his run-heavy schemes, is expected to further elevate Warren’s role. Smith’s previous success with running backs in Atlanta, where Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier were effectively utilized both in the running and passing games, bodes well for Warren’s anticipated increased workload. Analysts predict that the Steelers’ offense under Smith will feature a more balanced distribution of carries between Warren and fellow running back Najee Harris, potentially leading to both players reaching significant milestones.

However, discussions have arisen regarding Warren’s durability as a lead back, given his stature at 5-foot-8. While he is solidly built, concerns about his ability to handle a full workload persist. Despite these concerns, Warren has proven to be a reliable and explosive player, often providing the necessary spark for the Steelers’ offense.

As Warren enters the final year of his contract, his focus remains steadfast on contributing to the team’s success. When asked about potential contract discussions, Warren emphasized his commitment to the team’s goals, stating, “I’m not really worried about that. I’m worried about winning a Super Bowl.”

With the combination of his proven performance, the strategic direction under Arthur Smith, and his unwavering dedication, the 2025 season indeed appears to be Jaylen Warren’s time to shine
