For the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program, the 2027 recruiting class will be an important one as it’s the first full cycle for new head coach Micahel Malone.
The Tar Heels’ staff has been busy on the recruiting trail as of late, watching recruits over the past few weeks. As they continue to build their recruiting board, they received some good news recently.
Five-star center Darius Wabbington is taking the next step in his recruitment by setting official visits for this Fall with programs. The Phoenix, Arizona, native took to social media to reveal his upcoming visits for the Fall, and North Carolina’s date has been set.
Wabbington will be on North Carolina’s campus the weekend of October 30th. Prior to that, he will visit Indiana on September 3rd, Louisville on September 11th, and Arizona on October 25th.
The 6-foot-11, 245-pound Wabbington has a total of 22 offers but has cut his list down to six finalists: Kentucky, Indiana, Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, and Louisville. Wabbington is ranked No. 12 nationally, No. 3 center, and the No. 4 player in the state of Arizona per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
