‘Fuming’… Mohamed Salah left absolutely furious with 24-year-old Liverpool player vs Man United

Liverpool got off to a dream start at Manchester United as Luis Diaz opened the scoring in the 23rd minute.

 

United did have the ball in the net during the early stages of the game but Alejandro Garnacho was ruled offside.

Jurgen Klopp’s side quickly began to dominate proceedings thereafter and had a couple of opportunities before Diaz’s opener.

One fell the way of Dominik Szoboszlai, who was denied by an excellent save from Andre Onana.

 

But as Liverpool started to expose United’s backline at will, Darwin Nunez also had an opportunity to play in Mohamed Salah following a well-worked move.

Salah furious with Nunez

After a quick move from Liverpool, Nunez was set away down the left-hand side.

The 24-year-old had the opportunity to play Salah through after the Egyptian had gained a yard on Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

 

But Nunez was unable to get his head up in time and it led to the attack fizzling out, which angered Salah.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Clinton Morrison spotted the moment and claimed Salah was furious with his teammate.

“He is fuming, Mohamed Salah, he wanted the early ball from Darwin Nunez,” the pundit said.

 

Fortunately for Liverpool, they didn’t have to wait much longer until they found a breakthrough and Nunez provided the assist.

The Uruguayan flicked on a corner towards the back post and Diaz was there for a simple tap-in.

Man United vs Liverpool

After a bright start from Erik ten Hag’s side, it’s fair to say that Liverpool dominated after Garnacho had a goal ruled.

The United star caught Caoimhin Kelleher off his line as he netted from just inside the Liverpool half following a misplaced pass from Jarell Quansah.

Kobbie Mainoo then produced yet another brilliant goal for Ten Hag’s men in the 67th minute. the youngster received the ball in the box and curled his effort into the top corner.

Harvey Elliott came off the bench to win a penalty at a crucial time for Klopp’s side after a late challenge from Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Salah kept his nerve from 12 yards out to grab yet another goal against Liverpool’s bitter rivals.

 

Liverpool were unable to find a winner and based on the chances created in the game, this will feel like two points dropped
