Manchester City Jack Grealish has given his thoughts on Liverpool following this weekend’s Premier League results.
The Reds moved top of Arsenal after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Anfield, while the Gunners lost 1-0 to Aston Villa.
Manchester City’s win over Luton Town and Tottenham’s win over Newcastle United could set up a five-way battle for the 2024 Premier League title. Speaking to Sky Sports, Grealish has now given his verdict on Liverpool and the rest of the clubs currently chasing the Premier League title.
The England international said: “I think a lot of people want to talk about City. It feels like a big crisis. I played against some very good teams. We played against Spurs and they were fantastic. Liverpool are top of the league.
“Then we played against Chelsea and Aston Villa, who have one of the best home records in Europe, so we played against some great teams. We’ve lost one and drawn three, so it’s not the end of the world, but sometimes people want to pretend it’s over.”
The likes of Villa and Tottenham may be out of the title race, but City’s real threats to the English crown this season are clearly Arsenal and Liverpool. This season, after losing to Mikel Arteta and losing at home to the Reds, he promises us the Premier League title.
And in Grealish’s case, the City striker has to worry about what Liverpool can do. That’s because Anfield has a strong history of hosting Pep Guardiola’s teams.
