Manager Pep Guardiola will test a number of Manchester City players ahead of their Premier League clash against Manchester City on November 25.
Pep Guardiola faces another injury problem during the international break. Manchester City are awaiting an update on Erling Haaland for their upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool.
Haaland (knee), who played for Norway in Thursday night’s win over the Faroe Islands, limped off and City will have it all in their hands as they hope to bounce back quickly from the goalscoring forward.
The treble winners face Premier League rivals Liverpool in their next home game on Saturday 25 November. City will test eight players ahead of the match at the Etihad Stadium (12.30pm) after Haaland was the last to enter the treatment room. Below is a list of injuries for these players and potential return dates.
Norway team doctor Ola Sand said: “It was just like the Bournemouth game. This has happened before. The ankle area is slightly twisted, which makes it more vulnerable. It hurts a lot right away and goes away quickly. He’s recovering now, he’ll take it easy after that, we’ll see how he does tomorrow morning.
I spoke to City. I have spoken to both Erling City and their doctors.”The early signs are good as Haaland remains in Norway ahead of Sunday’s game against Scotland.
Stones

Possible return date: 25 November – Liverpool
Guardiola said: “We will see after the national team break. The doctor said it’s not serious. I don’t know, but I don’t want to do an intensive [time slot]. If he is appropriate again, he will return.

What Guardiola said: “He says he’s really good but still doesn’t train or walk. I would say he was the last person to come back and train with us. Not 2 weeks, but 1 week. We will not put pressure on the next stage, say the doctors. No need to make bad decisions about pressure, recovery or early return. Little by little.”
