‘He doesn’t admit it’… Pep Guardiola makes Jurgen Klopp prediction after Liverpool exit

 

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola thinks Jurgen Klopp will not retire after the German announced he will be leaving Liverpool.

It was a sad day for the Reds yesterday. Klopp confirmed he will be walking away at the end of the season, and this was something nobody saw coming. Guardiola was surprised too, but he thinks the Liverpool boss will be back in management one day.

Jurgen Klopp is one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever managers.

The German took charge of the club when they were in a pretty bad position and transformed them. He has won almost everything over the years, and he will leave as a legend of the game.

Klopp revealed yesterday that he has run out of energy. He needs a break and we’re sure everyone will agree he deserves one after everything he has done at Liverpool over the years.

The big question is if this is the end of management for the 56-year-old. “If you ask me, ‘Will you ever work as a manager again?’ I would say now no,” he told Liverpool’s official website.

“But I don’t know obviously how that will feel because I never had the situation.”

Pep Guardiola, however, thinks Klopp will be back, even though he doesn’t want to admit it now.

The Manchester City boss told ITV: “I am a little bit (surprised). He’s an absolutely incredible manager and I don’t know him closely, but I think he’s an incredible person as well.

“I have the feeling that when at the end of this season he’s leaving, a part of us too at Man City is leaving too. He will be missed. Personally, I will miss him. I am a little bit pleased because without him I will sleep a little bit better the nights before we play against Liverpool! But, I wish him all the best.

“He doesn’t admit it, but he will be back!”
