‘He will score five’… Chris Sutton says £70m Liverpool player is about to absolutely explode

 

Red are facing the prospect of missing Mohamed Salah for several weeks at the Africa Cup of Nations and other strikers must now step up.

Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota will all get a chance to shine at this stage, but Darwin Nunes may be the only player taking his game to the next level right now.

The £70m striker has impressed in recent months but has rarely found the back of the net and now without Salah in the squad he will need to start scoring more goals.

Chris Sutton spoke about Nunes on the Fantasy 606 podcast and claimed that the Uruguayan is ready to lead him in the FPL and will score some goals soon.

Nunes could be closer to a return to formSutton shared his assessment of Uruguay.“I think Darwin Nunes will be a big hit with this pick. Yes? “He’ll score five goals in one of these games,” Sutton said.

cookThis could be just what Nunes needs to find his goalscoring form at Liverpool. For the first time since joining last summer, Nunes now has the opportunity to become a key player in Liverpool’s attack which could mark his rise.

When he was at Benfica, he was at his best when he was at the heart of the team’s attack, but Salah’s presence at Anfield never afforded him that luxury.

As we all know, Nunes has what it takes to be a superstar, and now he can be trusted as the team’s main scorer and show the world how great he can be.
