The Liverpool forward, speaking to the Reds media team, explained how both he and Nunez are fast and routinely look out for each other on the pitch.
Since Nunez joined Liverpool last year, and especially since finally coming to the fore this term, he and Salah have forged a close bond on the pitch. The 24-year-old Uruguay international has combined with his teammate for 11 goals, at least seven more than he has with any other Liverpool player.
Salah, when asked by the Liverpool media team about his relationship with Nunez, said: “I think because he saw that I’m always looking at him when he’s running and [I’m] just trying to give him assists, try to give him balls, he’s always trying his best to give me the ball back.
“I think because we are both fast and we both have speed, it makes us understand each other’s game.”
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has spoken about his working relationship with fellow Reds forward Darwin Nunez.
