It’s one of a trio of fixtures to be rescheduled – their trip to Fulham will now take place at 4:30pm on Sunday, April 21, while the Merseyside derby is penned in for 8pm on Wednesday, April 24.

Supporters have been quick to express their frustration throughout the campaign at Liverpool’s regularity of being awarded the unenviable early kick-off – and this latest development will be sure to fuel the agenda.

There is a potential saving grace, however. Liverpool could end up seeing their early West Ham outing rescheduled once again.

For the Reds to avoid a 12:30pm kick-off at the London Stadium, they’d need Arsenal to beat Bayern Munich to reach the Champions League semi-finals – which, if history is anything to go by, will be a hard ask.

Nevertheless, if that was to transpire, it would move West Ham vs Liverpool to Sunday, April 28th at 2pm.
