Huge blow: Jurgen Klopp rules 23-y/o ace out of Liverpool’s next two games with hamstring injury

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that one of his key players will miss Liverpool’s next two games through injury.

Dominic Szoboszlai has played in all but three of Red’s 26 games this season (all competitions) but will not feature in Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Arsenal or next week’s League Cup semi-final against Fulham.

The Hungarian picked up an injury in the 4-2 defeat to Newcastle on New Year’s Day and was replaced after a while by Ryan Gravenburch.

Our German tactician (quoted by Paul Horst in the ECHO). Klopp said of Szoboslai: “It’s an injury. Muscle, tendon. We have to see. Dom is very positive, not too much pain but no chance on Sunday. Only until Wednesday.

Then we will see. “And hopefully it will come back, but we don’t know.”Liverpool are already without Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic in midfield and Andy Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas and Joel Matip in defense due to injuries.

Now, not to mention Mo Salah and Wataru Endo, who will remain in the country until next month. Klopp’s side will continue to fight on all four fronts but will be pushed to the limit in the coming weeks with five important games scheduled for this month.

We hope Szoboslai’s hamstring recovers quickly so he can play against Bournemouth on January 21.
