Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendry has urged Liverpool to appoint Eddie Howe as their new manager when Jurgen Klopp leaves the club this summer. Klopp has announced that he will step down as Liverpool manager at the end of this season.
Liverpool are now in an unfamiliar position as they must find a suitable replacement for the departed German tactician.
According to HITC, there are several names who could claim the top spot at Anfield, including Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi. Meanwhile, former Villa man Hendry has suggested the Reds could sign Eddie Howe.
He noted that Howe has significant Premier League experience and likes his style of play (via HITC). “I want to include people who are not on the list. “All is not well in Newcastle. I think someone like Eddie Howe could do that too. A man who knows the Premier League. He went to a struggling football club. “I think people were suspicious of him.
“He concluded: “I’m not saying he’s going to leave Newcastle, but you can look at the managers who aren’t in the picture – I’m thinking of De Zerby and Eddie Howe. I think I’ll look at Eddie Howe because I like his game.
‘Another great performance’, ‘We’re happy’ – Fans applaud Liverpool star’s ‘MOTM’ performance in 5-2 win over Norwich City.
Howe will take over as manager of Newcastle United from 2021. He left a deep impression on the Tuners, finishing in the top 4 of the Premier League in the 2022-2023 season.
He also led them to the final of the EFL Cup, where they lost to Manchester United. Virgil van Dijk has reacted to Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk says he was surprised to hear of Klopp’s decision to step down as manager of the club. Klopp announced his decision to the world on Friday (January 26), but what many didn’t see was the report published online.
Responding to his manager’s comments, Van Dijk said the news was difficult to accept because of how important Klopp is to the team.
He (through the mirror):”It’s a difficult decision because the manager is very important to us, to me, to the club and to the Premier League as a whole.
I think he’s made the decision for himself and his family.” It’s always going to be difficult, that’s for sure. “Klopp has won every trophy available at Liverpool since taking over as manager in 2015.
