Deeney has attempted to follow up his predictions this week, and perhaps the most difficult game to call this weekend is Liverpool vs Manchester City.

The pundit spoke about this weekend’s crunch clash.

“See now a couple of weeks ago I would’ve said this would’ve been an unbelievable team with both teams going at each other. I know Salah’s back and Trent might be back, but the goalkeeper being out is huge for Liverpool. I know Kelleher has done well, Jota being out is huge. I think City are just starting to hit form so I will say City win 3-1,” Deeney said.

Liverpool vs City is such a difficult game to call, and there are arguments to make on both sides.

On one hand, Liverpool will be hugely buoyed by the Anfield crowd and the fact that this is Jurgen Klopp’s final season, but, on the other hand, City do have immense quality and many of their best players are in red hot form right now.

No matter which way this game goes, it should be an absolute cracker of a match.
