The Golden State Warriors are apparently very serious about getting a better roster by this week’s trade deadline.
They are so serious, in fact, that they are calling all over the NBA and asking about the biggest names in the game.
Speaking to Pat McAfee on Monday, Shams Charania said the Warriors have called about every All-Star player in the league.
But they could get crafty and create a three- or four-team trade that might land them the talent they need.
The fact that they are aiming so high is a clear sign that the Warriors are not looking to slightly improve.
They want to do something substantial, unlike in the summer when they only made minor adjustments.
At the start of the season, those small changes looked to be helping, but the Warriors have slid down the rankings and are currently the 11th team in the West with a 24-24 record.
If they don’t do something quickly, they will be with this lineup for the rest of the season, and it could be a very long few months.
The Warriors are going to swing for the fences before the deadline, but fans should be realistic because their options will be limited.
