Liverpool are competing for the Premier League title this season. Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant has said Mohamed Salah, not Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, is the club’s best player in the Premier League era.
Salah continues to break numerous records, including becoming Liverpool’s top scorer in the Premier League last March.
He also scored his 200th goal in English football in a 3-0 win against Brentford last weekend.
As a result of these achievements, Salah established himself as one of Liverpool’s best players, especially since the launch of the Premier League in 1992.
“I would have to say Salah is Liverpool’s best player in the Premier League because of his stats,” Pennant said in an interview with King Casino Bonus, explaining why Salah is Liverpool’s best player in the Premier League League compared to Gerrard.
“We understand what Steven Gerrard has done for Liverpool. But if you look at the goals, assists and overall numbers, Salah is fantastic and has broken all the records.”I have to say he is one of Liverpool’s best players in the Premier League era.
“Liverpool’s first game since the international break against Manchester City on November 25 is vital as they look to seal the Premier League title amid fierce competition for English football’s top prize.
