And while the Argentine has had some tricky moments, the World Cup winner is quickly becoming an important player for Jurgen Klopp.

Arriving to bolster a midfield that lost several players, Mac Allister has partnered Jones, who is developing how to play with his new teammate.

It has led to the 22-year-old learning a thing or two about how to utilise his body to improve as a player – specifically the bum.

When asked what he has learned from his new teammates, Jones wnt full Yaya Toure in his press conference on Wednesday: “Mac Allister I’ll speak on him.

“He comes in and how he protects the ball, I’ve never seen before.

“He can receive the ball and does this thing where he sticks his bum out a little bit and you can’t take the ball from him.

“So I’m thinking, just his experience, he knows when he’s going to get pressed and the way he moves.”

Jones has not played in the Premier League since his red card against Tottenham, which Liverpool failed in an appealed to overturn.
